We are a welcoming group of woodworkers near Austin, TX who enjoy using muscle-powered tools.
Monthly we email each other updates, answering the question, “What are you working on or thinking about?”
Occasionally we meet in someone’s shop or at a restaurant.
Hand tools provide a point of connection for us, but nearly all of us use machines. We just enjoy using and talking about hand tools.
We gather to encourage, share, and learn.
- Encourage - We all need encouragement, especially since we are using unusual tools.
- Share - We all have knowledge, time, and resources to share. Since we live near each other, we can share arcane tools and techniques in person.
- Learn - We learn better and faster when others encourage us and share with us.
